We are a privately owned general and rehabilitation veterinary practice seeking a compassionate, competent, and motivated Veterinary Rehabilitation Technician to join our team.
This role is essential to the smooth operation of our rehabilitation department and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. In this role you will spend extensive time with patients and clients administering prescribed treatments including underwater treadmill and laser therapy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the rehabilitation veterinarian to support patient care and treatment planning
- Manage and coordinate scheduling for rehabilitation appointments, including new referrals
- Clearly communicate with the rehabilitation veterinarian, clients, and referring veterinarians/practices
- Manage the rehabilitation department’s email and maintain our patient database
- Clean and maintain rehab equipment and supplies
- Administer prescribed treatments including underwater treadmill sessions and laser therapy as directed by the overseeing rehabilitation veterinarian
- Write and maintain thorough, accurate medical records for administered treatments
- Perform general veterinary assistant duties as required, supporting the clinic team as needed.
Requirements
- 4-5 days per week
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
Ideal Candidate
- Registered veterinary technician diploma from an accredited college ( preferred but not required)
- Certification in veterinary rehabilitation (preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate)
- Customer service training
- Enjoys working directly with both clients and patients
- Is passionate about veterinary rehabilitation and is committed to helping animals improve mobility and quality of life
- Has strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
