Dr. Blossom de Bruin

Dr. Blossom de Bruin grew up on an acreage in the Fraser Valley, where her love of animals was cultivated from a young age. She completed her Bachelor of Science (major in biology) at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2018, then moved to Saskatchewan for vet school, graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She then spent two years enjoying the variety of mixed animal general practice and small animal emergency practice in the beautiful Niagara region of southwestern Ontario before moving to Vancouver Island in 2024.

Blossom is passionate about the mutual benefits of the human-animal bond and prioritizes strengthening this relationship by working together with pet owners to ensure their beloved pets stay healthy and happy. Her special interests within veterinary medicine include surgery, internal medicine and developing multimodal management plans for optimizing pet health and quality of life for both pets and owners.

Outside the clinic, Blossom enjoys spending time at home with her partner Brendan and their 3 cats (Gleeber, Monkey and Vinny), as well as hiking, traveling, weightlifting, classical music, and riding her motorcycle.
